Youth with disabilities invited to join Waterford dance class

Kari Valamic and her little girl Elizabeth, a 13-year old going to Clarkston Junior High School, were hunting down a place Elizabeth could push the limits of her handicap.

While Elizabeth has Cerebral Palsy, she generally needed to move and play baseball. She’s doing both as an individual from Easterseals Michigan’s Miracle League of Michigan.

Kari said, “We’ve been taking part in the move classes for a long time and in baseball for a long time. At the point when Elizabeth first went to the Miracle League, she said ‘Look mother, everybody resemble me.'”

That feeling of having a place is the reason the Miracle League baseball and move projects are exceeding expectations. The move program happens in Waterford and is interested in any kid or youthful grown-up with an inability. The members perform one night for each week for four weeks and after that perform for 200 visitors at the yearly Cheers Gala, Easterseals Michigan’s biggest pledge drive.
